Taking Care of Your Face is Taking Care of Your Makeup

Taking care of your face is taking care of your makeup. What is meant by this? Well, for one, you need to use less of it. If you have a good complexion, then it’s easy to use less makeup.

For example, oily skin. Oily skin is a bit of a pain. Eyeshadow creases, mascara melts away, foundation transfers. It’s all gross and yucky and all that you want to do is to wipe it all off and take it again.
Look for products that help to remove oil. There are certain masques, such as Queen Helene The Original Mint Julep Masque that can help you with your oily skin. Most of these products are cheap, effective, and don’t damage your skin.

Those combination skin can use some of the products that both those with oily skin and dry skin. It’s just using the products in the right areas. Then there are products that work for both skin types and combo skin. It’s all a matter of finding what works and in what combination.

Dry skin needs help too. A good moisturizer helps your skin and keeps it from flaking and looking dry and instead makes it look plump and healthy looking.

Dry, peeling lips are another problem. Not only do they hurt you, but sometimes the lip color can be drying itself. For example, lip stains are drying and some contain alcohol which can burn and sting and just hurt in general. Lip color won’t last when it’s peeling off. Find a good lip balm that works for you to help moisturize and help problem lips. There are also medicated formulas to help you when your lips are particularly cranky.
