Wearing a natural makeup style is becoming increasingly popular throughout the US. The point of wearing any kind of makeup is to accentuate the features we already have. Unfortunately, as many of us know, there are people who take it too far. Usually, caking makeup onto your face can be relatively unflattering, and depending on the makeup you use, it can even aggravate acne!
Even so, girls love to wear makeup. It makes us look and feel more confident, and when we do get those annoying acne blemishes, make-up offers a way to hide them. So, how can we have the best of both worlds? The answer is simple. All you have to do is learn a new style for applying make-up. I like to call it au natural!
To apply a natural make-up look, you must start by making sure your face is squeaky clean. This will not only help your foundation spread smoothly, but it will help to kill acne causing bacteria. You should never put make-up on a dirty face.
Next, you must find the perfect, natural base which will match your skin tone. Blend the foundation into your skin to get rid of any blemishes or redness. Then, you can use any color of eye shadow, as long as the colors are neutral. Eye-liner can really make the eyes pop, but if you’re going for a natural look, you may want to stick with lighter brown tones of eyeliner. Lastly, a clear, natural lip-gloss will help to polish off your clean and natural look.
