Have you ever finished applying your regular eye-makeup and felt as though there was something missing? Well, you may want to try adding a splash of eye shimmer next time. Shimmer isn’t just for girls in junior high, in fact, there are multiple ways for women of any age to wear shimmer! Eye shimmer can brighten up your day, and may even send a couple double-takes your way. After all, who doesn’t like shiny things?

If you want to incorporate a shimmer into your everyday eye makeup routine, then you could consider using shimmer in a multitude of ways. If you want a subtle brush of color on your skin, you can loosely brush it on with an oversized powder brush. This will give you a very light coat of shimmer, which is just noticeable enough without being over the top. You can try varying colors of shimmer, depending on what your specific event might be. For a date, you will want to try sexy, deep colors such as olive or bronze. However, if you are feeling playful for a girls night out, you may want to try a pale shimmer such as green or blue!

You can also use shimmer to cover your originally applied eyeliner. However, be sure not to line the lower eyelid, as lining on the top eyelid will be noticeable enough. You don’t want to overdo it with this, so be sure to use the appropriate, thin brush in order to make sure that you don’t over apply.
